I have a degree in Accounting and (acquaintances claim) a destiny in writing! I'm enjoying both and dont want to lose any. I sense there is nothing to worry about.

Comments:Sir, When I heard you had been kidnapped, I didn't worry too much because I was sure you were too intellectual not to stimulate very rewarding conversations with your captors. I was so sure they would be captive to your own lectures and perspectives about life and Nigeria. I am nonetheless, glad that you are out, safe and sound. A good man has nothing to hide does he? Congratulations. I am most happy for your release. Best wishes for a happy new year! kind regards, Timi Hyacinth

Comments:One of the greatest novels of all times. The complicated plot of THE CONCUBINE emerged almost effortlessly and innocuously until it reached the climax that caught the audience in a tangled web of the denoument only to be pushed off the precipice of the tragic and emotional laden ending, drawing the audience's ire and pity with feelings of bemusement and disappointment.

Not just a story it is a learning source on Africa, its people and culture. When there is a news on Africa or its people %u201CThe Great Ponds%u201D always comes to my mind.

Comments:I got the Sinhala (my mother tongue) translation of "Great Ponds". It is a novel with many types of entertainment; i.e. action, love, adventure, sorcery etc and also classic. It was published in a local newspaper weekly, and then it was printed as a book. It is interesting to read about African tribal culture. I cannot comment whether you portrayed that culture as I have not experienced it. But I think you had done so, I wish that more of your works translated to different languages worldwide and be spread throughout the world.

Comments:14 years ago while in secondary school in Kenya, your book The Concubine, was our literature set book. It was an interesting read and we virtually %u201Cwent%u201D to Omokachi village every time we read. The book is written in such a way that you feel like you are being tour guided by Elechi Amadi to see Emenike, Ekwueme, Ihuoma, Wodu Wakiri etc etc do their thing. It%u2019s a great privilege to communicate with my favorite author. My dream is to see you someday. Visit East Africa wher your readership is so big. Nigerian gov't ought to reward you graetly for exporting Nigerian Literature to East Africa and the World over.

Comments:I read your book The concubine for my o levels in secondary school. It is a story which i will never forget. It is captivating and students always enjoyed the literature lessons. IHUOMA, EMENIKE, WODU WAKIRI, EKWEUME AND MADUME. I remember them all and it is a book i will always recommend. Though the beautiful Ihuoma was never in control of her destiny. When i first read it, i just wanted the gods to let her be happy. They didnt. Such is life i guess. At times when you think you have something, you actually dont have it.You are not in control.Thank you. Monica.
